I have a rebuilt 35A single groove single field alternator with a build date of 38 60 which is the second week of October for anyone needing a date specific unit. This was a rebuilt unit that I bought from NAPA years ago and had on my Sport Fury for a month or so. I upgraded to a 60A dual field system so this one has been in the box in my loft for probably 20 years. Worked fine when removed so should be ready to. I saw a rebuilt one on Ebay that the guy is asking $600.00 for. I'll take $75.00 plus the ride for this one.
Interchange books says pn 2095060 is for 61-62 Chrysler, Dodge, Desoto, Plymouth and Truck.

This is a 61 only unit. Date code must be 1960. First year for a alternator on US made Mopars. They increased the number of cooling fins in 62.
Very nice, not often seen.

1960 was the first year for US Mopar cars for the alternator. They were an option on all but the Valiant (standard equipment) and apparently the late 1960 Imperials had the alternator standard. For 1961 the alternator was standard on all US Mopar cars.

In Canada, though, generators were standard on all Canadian-built Chryco cars through the 1962 model year. Imported cars were optioned as in the U.S. 1963 was the first year alternators were standard on Canadian-built Chryco cars.
