Going to begin getting my Polara up and road worthy. It's a 1969 with an automatic, 2 barrel 383, and about 85000 miles, I parked it about five years ago due to transmission problems. A few weeks ago, I had the urge to try to get it up and running. The engine turned, but would not start. I rebuilt the carburetor, and replaced the fuel filter. While replacing the filter, I dropped the alternator and tore out the brushes. It threw some sparks and I think it burned some wires. But we don't need to get into that right now. Here's some before pictures!

Looks like a beautiful car, not sure how you could stand leaving it sit so long. Glad to see you are getting her going again.

This was the first 69 Polara that I tried to get, July 2009, got outbid on eBay, ended up getting a car out of Montana.
