The Servprolara

Why would I stop? This is how I work the bugs out of my cars, this one just got lucky enough for the 1600 mile coolant flush. I did start having issues again this afternoon when I got up to I80 from Carlisle. I stopped at a walmart, made a mess on the ground. Got some thermocool by evaporust, filled it up with water and were cool again. Now I lost half my cluster lights. I'm stopped for a while in Ohio. I need to rest my eyes.
Hit the dash again!

Good Man. Catnaps do wonders

Hit the dash again!

Well duh! lol

Wyatt, if you cant get the dash lights on again, wedge a flashlight somewheres. and...

So Scott?? Are you a...makin plans for Carlisle next year or what? Im sure Wyatt would appreciate an extra set of hands on the trip :poke:
I'm figuring out what car I'm focusing all my efforts on, and will be starting on it shortly. I've missed ALL the shows I've planned to attend this year, even the little local ones. I'm going next year, even if I have to drive on flat tires the whole way there!

Whether you bring a car next year to Carlisle (or to a show in IL for that matter) is not of my concern...I just want to see yer ugly mug there. :poke:

Yes I am back in Illinois. The car has been giving me cooling issues yet again, despite running around Pennsylvania all weekend flawlessly after the hose defect. It started sunday afternoon about an hour after getting onto 80 in PA after climbing some hills. I just took my time, found plenty of truck stops with hoses to cool the radiator down and kept her going. I stopped and drained the radiator, got some thermocool flush and refilled with water. It was great again! I got to Youngstown Ohio before filling up and calling it a night.

I started fresh in the morning and hit the Ohio turnpike. First 2 hours went as expected and it was downhill from there. Hose cool downs every 75-100 miles again. It was a hot day too so that didn't help my case either. I hopped off the Indiana turnpike after I decided the highway isn't working for me, and google routed me up into Michigan on 12 for a little while and back onto 94 into Chicago. Not sure why, but it didn't seem to make much of a difference and I was able to drive for a longer period of time before I started to get hot again.

Was it inconvenient? Sure...But it was worth every single second. I had an absolute blast with the Servprolara going to Carlisle and meeting some FCBO members for the first time and hanging with Dad and the family. I even scored a NICE front bench for the Polara and swapped it on the field Saturday night before cruising to some hotels with my buddy in his 79 300. I also scored a bunch of goodies for the 500!

By the way...nothing else broke the entire 1600+ mile trip besides a few of the cluster bulbs sunday night right before calling it quits for the evening. It isn't hurt at all and seems to run better than ever! The Servprolara is a great ride once I figure out what's got her plugged up and running hot...Not bad for a cheap wagon that's been sitting for years unloved.

You certainly made the best of things. NOT much time on your *** that's for sure . You were always moving and couldn't be found.
So you partied Saturday night? No wonder you were MIA on Sunday morning.

Bench is from 1970 300 btw..
Glad you made it home .
Your round trip to Carlisle is pretty much the same distance as my round trip to Volo !
Kudos to you Wyatt and Servprolara!!

That looks similar to a month ago!

Glad you made it back without any real trouble, and that you had a blast at the show.
