While putting the top up tonight I noticed my drivers side cable has a couple broken wires.

So I'm on the hunt. Does anyone make good repops? Or is Murray Park my best shot?

Murray is a good choice. Some of the top vendors sell a new top kit with cables but I don't think they sell them seperately.

If exact replacements are not an issue any aircraft cable shop can also make them.

I can't find the link right now but they are available for about $35 a pair...

Google was not my friend, that's why I asked here.

The cables that convertible top guys show doesn't look anything like what's on the car. Perhaps it's just an erroneous picture. Mine has threads for adjustment, not springs.
I found a place that makes the cables...I have to call for a price. That means I probably need a tube of KY jelly before dialing.

Did you call them? Maybe it's just a stock pic and not the pic of the actual component.

Yes I did...
I got some young lady who knew less than nothing about what I was asking. Nor cared a whole lot.

The cable I need is called an intermediate bow cable. It's purpose is to help set the tension in the rear window. It is adjustable.

The cables listed on the site are the main side tension cables that run through the top. I figured that out while talking to a knowledgeable gent from another company

I have a source for the intermediate cables and will review them when I receive them. They are 71.00 a pair + shipping.

Well, I've hit a wall with the cable so far. But here's what I got....

^ This is the cable I need. Look close at the eyelet and you can see the frayed and broken ends.

^ This is the eyelet end of the main cable. It runs through a hem the top to keep it tight. I think this is what everybody thought I needed.

^ The intermediate cable threads into this blind nut and allows for adjusting the slack in the rear glazing(window).

The issue is the overall length...67-68 cables measure 20.5 inches end to end and the 66 cable is 18 3/4 inches. So I'm back to the drawing board...for the moment.
I hoped this helped everyone.

I've got those cables on my top as well ('65). Fortunately, I was able to use my originals but the white vinyl (on mine) coating was heavily deteriorated so I removed it completely.

I was able to repair the one that failed on my top

The intermediate cable is a mystery to me because it is not mentioned at all in the FSM to the best of my knowledge
But then again, I have a Canadian Polara

I think this is the cable you are talking about and I need a pair as well. From what I found out from the people who I purchased my replacement top from these can be made but you need to send the originals to the company that makes them. My problem is that I only have one. Here is what mine looks like. I will dig through my paperwork and let you know who the vendor was.

I found the cable and what it does on page 23-70 of my FSM. I see what the cable does but not sure of it's usefulness on a replacement top. The bow is tight and the zipper for the back window doesn't bind.
Maybe that's why Canadian cars don't have these cables.
About a half hour ago I removed the damaged cable. I'm going to try and drop some brazing on the frayed end to hold everything in place. It should adhere because everything is steel

With my top frame, I have to constantly check the front bow that it doesn't fall backwards when the top is up...

I am figuring that the velcro or other sticky fabric is missing from the top .
Do you have a picture of your front bow in the deployed position?
Please ignore the wrinkles

I would agree that you are probably missing the Velcro tab that holds it in place, that’s what’s on mine. I believe the original may have had a stitched in tab. Do you have a pad running front to back on both sides. They are about 3 or 4 inches wide. The Velcro is attached to them. I will get pics tomorrow.
