The Servprolara

Glad to here your back ok. Did you ever pull the water pump, are the vanes ok and not rusted away? I had a problem with my Challenger overheating at highway speeds back in the 80s on the drive across country. The lower radiator hose was sucking shut due to rusty spring inside. Just some thoughts, you'll get it.

Brand new

Glad to see you did not run into many problems. I have had the water pump belt slip in the higher rpm range. That and my timing being a bit off caused it to overheat well highway driving. Took me a bit to finger out that. I think the timing had more to do with it then the belt. Also you going to dye that seat black or leave it as is for now?

So Scott?? Are you a...makin plans for Carlisle next year or what? Im sure Wyatt would appreciate an extra set of hands on the trip :poke:
I'm figuring out what car I'm focusing all my efforts on, and will be starting on it shortly. I've missed ALL the shows I've planned to attend this year, even the little local ones. I'm going next year, even if I have to drive on flat tires the whole way there!
Scott, you'll be excited (or disturbed) to know that we've already assigned the task of breaking you in at Carlisle to Wyatt... If he does it right, he'll have you sleeping in his vendor spaces.

Well, the weather shouldn't be an issue as it's hot and humid here by June. (And I work in a hot environment.) I'm already used to only seeing half of a car show/swap meet/car corral! As for sleeping there, I've become a bit too civilized to go without some comfort at the end of the day, but you never know, with those cold drinks that everyone seems to have at their tents.

It was pretty warm during the day, but at night it cooled alot and with the nice breeze I slept like a baby. Friday it actually cooled enough at 3:30 4 am I had to shut the windows to cut out the breeze through the tent.
Really the only problem I have is getting up off the air mattress in the morning.
I'm up, pooped and the first coffee down by the time most of you are lining up in traffic to get in. Second coffee and breakfast by the time you all get parked. Ready for my first beer by the 10 am photo shoot.
Now that is how Carlisle is done!
