Hello everybody!
Little about myself, I inherited my grandfather's 1968 Dodge Monaco 500 a few years ago, was bought brand new by my great, great aunt so it's a 1-family car. Its been in storage since I got it and is in pretty decent shape but is missing the usual misc emblems and trim parts.
Just hoping to get some ideas and info (and if I'm lucky, maybe some parts) from some of the more experienced members of the forum and to generally learn about all things C Body!

Welcome

Hello from Minnesota. Please share some pictures of the car!

Here's a bunch of recent pics for those who are interested. The Monaco is a little unusual in that it's a buckets and console car but doesn't have A/C or a vinyl top, and was otherwise sparsely optioned. The engine is a #'s matching 383, originally a low compression 2 barrel but it was rebuilt sometime in the 90's with a date correct 4 barrel manifold and (Carter AVS?) carburetor as well as true dual exhaust. It has its original set of keys, an extra set of matching hubcaps, and a pair of snow tires on steel rims, although something tells me I'm not going to be using those anytime soon.....
P.S. When you look at the side pics, notice the black vinyl moulding with chrome outlining that runs from just behind the front tire to the rear side marker light. I've never seen another 68 Monaco, 500 or otherwise, with that moulding on it, but we have old photographs from the early 70's of the car with the moulding so I don't believe its aftermarket. Dealer add-on maybe? If anybody has any idea or info, it would be appreciated, I can't seem to find anything online about it.

Welcome from an ex 68 and present 67 Dodge Monaco 500 owner. Beautiful car you got there!

Due to the placement, I'd be inclined to say that moulding was aftermarket .. However, if someone in your family can attest to it being on the car when it left the lot then dealer add it is. Either way, she didn't ship that way.

I agree. Looks like Chevy molding honestly.
