Interesting, I learned something today. Chrysler, Dodge, & DeSoto only came in 4 Door Hardtops from '60 thru' '64. I had to do ah double take on your's. Who knew that Plymouth WAZ a 4 Door POST Long Roof? Sweet Ride but Strange, Jer
60-64 Dodges you could get hardtop or post wagons. Plymouth you could only get a post wagon. Not sure if you could get a post on the Chrysler or DeSoto wagons.

Finally got my 72 Fury wagon. I randomly found the picture about 7 years back. My wife said it was not a good time for a extra car but after I made her happy I secretly located the owner in New Mexico, worked out a payment plan, paid him via PayPal. It had to sit for a few years but he was cool keeping it on his property until a affordable transporter was open. Fast forward to this past July. His friend, a transporter was ready, made his way to the East coast where I am and delivered the wagon. It has a 360, AT, PS, PB, AC, AM/FM radio, spare interior and rear AC unit from a burned out Chrysler wagon. I'm slowly having new tires installed, the systems gone over and hopefully by spring 2020 will be able to cruise it around. Oh- I also have the rear glass I sourced out of another scraped 72 wagon winter 2019 in Western Maryland.

Love the stealth approach, just hope it doesn't come back to bite you...... :thumbsup:
 
Congrats on the wagon finally making it home. Nice dry rust free sheet metal is the best starting point, and the cost of transport is always way less then trying to repair rust. ;)
 
Well.... as far as biting back- lets just say my wife is happy with a new piece of jewelry I got her- plus a night out to dinner so- I think I've paid the piper ( laughing).

Say- I've having the original transmission ( the guy I bought the wagon from took the original tranny out to replace a reverse band but never got around to it so he bought another 727, installed it but that was totally dead) rebuilt at a local shop. I don't have the torque converter for it's still in the dead tranny that's currently installed in the car. Anyone know what type torque converter would have been stock for a 72 Fury, AT, 360 engine? My plan is have the tranny I currently have rebuilt then when I get the car in my local garage- we'll yank the dead one currently in place and just install the freshly rebuilt one.

There's not a lot of difference in 727 converters stall speed wise but a 360 is externally balanced so you need a converter specifically for a 360 with the imbalance weight welded on it or an aftermarket flex plate for a 360 that has the imbalance built into it. That will allow you to use any neutral balance 727 converter.
 
One of my brothers found some photos of the previous wagons my dad drove.

I'm not sure of the years but the Custom Suburban is from a 1957 to 59 vintage

Then there is a 64 wagon likely a Coronet or 330/440/880 model package level.

I was only 5 months old when the Suburban pics were taken in 61

Based on the taillight and the location of the body side molding it looks to be a 1958 model. Also its a 2-door Custom Suburban - Cool !! (unless the rear door can't be seen in the photo)

You are right about the 2 door.
Remember this is a Canadian wagon and "Plodges" were common with different tail lights and trim packages.
 
I just found a picture of the 67 Monaco in colour.
My brother has his big head in the way LOL!
