I finally started going through boxes of loose pictures that were my Mom's. Back in the '60's important occasions always seemed to remembered with a photo by the car. I found this old Polaroid of me in a suit, dated May 1965, in front of our Dodge Dart Seneca.

The reason I gravitate to C-bodies was the '67 Fury mom&dad bought when I was 5. They just could NOT understand why I was so sad when they traded it in for a '71 Chevrolet Impala. We did all those "important occasion photos" also, but didn't include the car, and sadly I have NO photos of that Fury! Be glad you have some, though.

That's a very good observation. My guess is the car was quite "significant" to our mid-class, post-war parents and it figured in to "occasions" just like a family member.

I bet lots of us can find similar pics. I know I have one somewhere of me with our 64 Dodge.

Come to think of it.....

First car I remember us having was a 57 Savoy Iirc. Then Dad got a used 59 Sport Fury in red/white.
Then in 66 he went to B bodies. Finally to FWD Mopes. I remember my Cousin's Pioneer. Man it was a whole lotta ugly.
What was my 1st MoPar? 65 SF! Had a couple Bs. and Cs. Like those Cs the best.
