Cause of weak spectator turnout at Carlisle?

I agree 100% well put.

I wanted a shirt but you guys were gone by Sunday.

Anything I had with the 50th Anniversary logo went quick, shirts, posters and banners. It was a feeding frenzy when I opened up the boxes.

I didn't even get a chance to see the c bodies this year or to cross paths with you Dave. I did see Wyatt, as soon as we arrived and he was staying in the same hotel.

Well- I had a good excuse for not going this year. I was in the doghouse for having my 1972 Plymouth Fury Station Wagon delivered. My wife did not know I had bought the car ( 5 years ago) but after selling all my concert shirts, records, poster and crap from my childhood- I bought it from a dude in New Mexico but neither one of us could find the time or a cheap transporter to deliver my car then pick up a 57 Dodge from N.Dakota and deliver back to him until the week before Carlisle. So..in place of going and looking for parts- I had a whole bunch of parts in the form of a car delivered to my local garage :) I figure that's a good enough reason right? I'm keeping the hobby alive, still have my hair( which has color), am 45 ( I think) so- am I considered old? ( laughing).

If curious- my wagon has PS, PB, AC, AM/FM radio, 360, 727, rear ceiling AC from another scraped Chrysler wagon( the guy was smart enough to save that from another car he had) but is pretty much rust free, dusty/crusty on the inside but that's a car from the desert for ya right? I need a headliner for sure, most likely the AC will need to be refurbished so if anyone has any suggestions for refurbishing a AC system for a ride like this- let me know for I don't like the heat myself and if ya see me in the wagon area at the meet next year- it will be because I got the AC working in my wagon - :)
