Connie and I attended a little vintage trailer rally and car show last weekend, Stayed Friday & Saturday night in a pretty park right in town. Just a bunch of fun.
Must be the trend to put metric hemi's in old mopars here. Several were there. Not many nice originals though.

I guess the Rambler Station Wagon is my favorite despite the Charger in the Background.

Still here. tentative leave on or around the 19th. I will try to hook up with Matt, (detmatt), next week but the Woodard dream cruise is going on and I'm not to anxious to deal with that mess.
Don’t let that keep you away Will!

It’s funny how the locals ***** about all the traffic when you can just jump over to Coolidge or say Lasher where there is no traffic.

My affair with Woodward ave, (then M10), started in the 1960's. I cruised in several different Mopars then, up to my A12 Runner. The Dream Cruise is nothing like the old days and I hate to see it turn into a carnival.
The varity of vehicles would be the best reason to be there now I think but the activity's don't really represent the Woodward legend to me.
I do have some "back in the day" stories. Including watching Jimmy Addison and his silver bullet race, and buying my "260" at his Sunoco station.

Then there was the factory prepped street image cars...…. But that's for another day.

My days were the early 70s.
By then it was pretty well patrolled on weekends.
Dad had a few muscle cars home that I hit Woodward with. You wouldn't dare get caught in any silliness with a company car. The most fun was just us all piling in a buddies Colony Park or the girlfriend's Coupe deVille and just cruising the hang-outs.
Later in the 70s organized races took place in the wee hours on I-696 between Orchard Lake Rd. and Wixom Rd.
