Hope this helps. There is a separate chrome piece. Can't really tell from your picture if that is the piece missing but that is all the is between your chrome and the plastic piece.

Here are pics from my 66. There is a wrap around chrome piece missing.

It is actually a stainless piece that goes on under the chromed pot metal pillar moulding.

Thank you for everyone’s help. After 6 hours of searching I’ve found them. When I got this car years ago it had a lot of stuff pulled off in boxes. There was also some assorted chev and Buick stuff in there and I’ve been reluctant to throw anything. Thankfully they were in that box of odd bits buried under crap in the shed
