...out of a Hudson 232 Six block! Found this in Wichita recently. It's a 1949 Hudson 232 narrow-block that has seen better days. I plan on cleaning the bores, polishing the deck, and painting the block exterior. Then, I'm looking to set an oval clear glass table top on it and replacing the crappy coffee table that's currently in my living room. The wife is in agreement, which helps.

My first coffee table was a 440 block and '70 Super bee J5 trunk lid. Didn't balance very well, had to be careful where you set down the bong.

Check the de-rusting video/article at www. hotrod.com. Reverse electrolysis. I used to use the deck lid of my '70 Monaco to wrap Christmas presents on, the night before. Sometimes in a coin-op car wash bay.

I love engine tables. Here's a pretty interesting way to do it.

I have only the block, so it's nothing insane. But the pic shows what I have in mind, very closely.
