Yep. He found something else shiny that he wants more. And like I said in my 1st post, I've been trying to talk him out of it.

I'm already the proud owner of a 1965 Chrysler 300 Convertible so I am not in the market at this time.

Having owned my car for close to 10 years, I've kept a keen eye on values. I would say a fair asking price for your dad's car would be in the $12K-$15K range. Although it is a survivor, there appears to be a fair amount of paint degradation which impacts the value. Again, my opinion but I think you are going to have a tough time selling for $22K but the buyer may be out there. In my estimation, $22K would be the selling price of my fully restored non-letter example. A fully restored L convertible could fetch $25K-$30K depending on how optioned the car is.

I think you are undervalued on yours by a bunch. Your car is as restored as they get in my opinion and that's a 6 figure effort no matter if it's a /6 4 door Valiant or a Hemi Charger.

Thanks, Kevin. I do not have anywhere near six figures in the car, more like $30K-$35K including purchase price. I think a fair price for my car would be $22K-$25K.

Well that is a more than fair price. Anybody that takes you up on it is getting a bargain as far as value is concerned.

I base the 6 figure comment on the 1000 hrs +/- it usually takes to do a proper resto plus the parts. Unfortunately unless it's a Hemi Ebody or similar, the retail price seldom reflects the effort.
