I saw this absolute beauty at Nats today. It was so stunning it deserves it's own thread. This gentleman was from the Cleveland area and spent 2 years to restore. The car was complete from Oregon, he had a donor for sheet metal and had many detail items: lens, interior, and chrome from a 14,000 mile car which received received massive front end damage. and was in storage for parts for 40 years. The interior is nearly all from this car and it is un-restored original amazing condition.

Saw it two weeks ago at Norwalk. Absolutely a gold mine of a car. Thx for sharing.

A real labor of love. Thanks for sharing.

How do the Nats compare these days to Carlisle in terms of attendance and parts swap meet?

No comparison Carlisle is a totally different level, but for what it is still enjoyable. I don't really know how many cars there are but I was 1,550 near the end of presale maybe 2,000. Dave might chime in since he was at both this year.

Does anyone know if that clock stays stationary or does it turn with the wheel. That had to be a very rare option. Very cool!

It stays stationary but it it is an automatic mechanical clock, so the turning of the wheel winds the clock. It is an 8 day 15 jewel Swiss clock. Here is a nice write up. I am clock nut, especially mechanical, so I love this stuff.
