This unit is freshly rebuilt and in bolt-in condition. Notice the pattern on the gear is perfect and all of the loose parts were removed in the process. It is all new and the sure grip unit is also rebuilt. My rebuilders says this is a really nice unit.
This one has the large yoke.
$850. this can be picked up at my shop or I can bring it to the Mopar nationals if you give me a $50 deposit and the rest in cash on site. I am open to shipping but it could be costly as you guys know how heavy these are.

Now that the Nationals are over this one is $750 + shipping.
I sold the other one with the small yoke for $750 at the nationals.

Matt: I am somewhat interested in this diff. But I'm not sure if my '66 convertible has a small or large yoke. Is the yoke easy to change, without messing up the setup of the ring and pinion?

You need a turning torque value to duplicate upon reassembly. Would really be easier to use a cris-cross u joint if your car has a small joint. Which I do not believe your car should have, but never say never on these cars.
Small yoke is 2 1/8", large is 2 5/8" measured across the inside of the yoke.

If you need to swap them out you have to be sure that the nut goes back on to the exact same position because of a crush sleeve.
Dave’s suggestion is a good one.

Thanks a lot, Dave. But, at this point, the matter may be moot. Looks like Matt already sold the diff. . .

OK, Dave. Looks like Matt still has the diff. Tell me more about this criss-cross u-joint. Will anybody at the auto parts store know what I'm talking about?

I am recently living this so I had a couple of comments -

I think the ujoint is a 60/90 - has 7260 (?) on one end and 7490 (?) on the other end i.e. one side is 2 1/8" and the other is 2 5/8"

on my cars - both 68 fury (III) and sport fury - the 383 had 2 1/8 yoke and one-legger rearend, the 440 had 2 5/8" yoke and 3.23 SG.

the driveshaft itself is WAY larger diameter on the 440, and has a large metal ring around it / on it up by the front yoke that the smaller driveshaft doesn't have.

pics when I find em.

Correct 7260 & 7290 are the u joint numbers. I do not know the part # for the criss/cross. I tried to look it up on rock auto. You can probably Google it.

Thanks again, you guys. I really appreciate this info. The only question remaining is whether or not my '66 axles will work with Matt's aforementioned diff. The car is an original 440 TNT car with a 3.23 one-legged diff. Can I assume my axles / splines will fit? Or am I gonna hafta scrounge around for a different set?

I believe the one piece axles are the same length. The old keyway axles were different lengths sure grip to open.
Splines will be the same. (30)

This is sold, thanks Rip!
Enjoy!:steering:
