Best automatic ever...

Way back when I made a ton of money rebuilding trannies. Both the 727 and 904 where my favourite transmissions to work on. Very few problems and supper easy to rebuild. Next was GM and last on my list is Ford’s.

I am now up to three 727's where they have puked their fluid out on the floor. Cars that have sat, and then run, and then the pan gasket goes out! I am starting to learn my lesson!
Well, I am now up to four cars that have done this. I went home to SD and the latest acquisition, the 73 Imp now dumped its tranny fluid all over the floor. The next Imp will get a diaper when I park it. Sheesh! I have two new pans, and several types of gaskets, one a rubber gasket from A&A Trans. Now to get them on a trailer and off to be repaired.

I have re torqued my tranny pan bolts twice now since I started running it again. First time after about 800 miles, I got about 1 full turn each as the gasket compressed after a few heat cycles. Then again at about 1800 miles I saw some seeping and got another 1/4 to 1/2 turn on each to get back to torque. No seeps after each time. We will see what comes next.
