WTF?? How did this happen??

Call one of the established restoration/hot rod shops and ask who does theirs, they usually farm out the glass. Joey's only uses champion auto glass up here. A smaller, incredibly clean shop ran by a father, 40 years experience, and his son, probably ten fifteen years experience now, great guys! There has to be a similar shop down there? Concerning removal, I would cut a peice of card board bigger than the package tray, shape it like a box or a "u", tape some more cardboard below the window on the outside, put some gloves on and push the bulk of it out from the inside. The biggest deal is getting the trim off without bending it. And expect the lower trim clips to be rusty, Dale may be able to provide you with some of the upper clips from the car they remove the window from.

Dominion Glass here in town called me back saying they had located a new back glass in the USA and were working out a shipped to Calgary price. So in the end I may end up having 3 replacements available. Have you ever taken the back window out of a mid 70's B Body? Curious if the window trim tool discussed here would be of use in removing the old glass. @300rag do you still have the tool from the Monaco?

It would be nice to get a new one. I've only done fuselage C's. One "bonus" is that the trim is a whole lot easier to get off without having to worry about breaking the glass!

Not sure. If I still have it, it's in a crate somewhere in my storage unit.

Graham, The trim moldings are all held in by the same clips they used for the last 40 years. The remover is the same tool. It does take a little finesse to remove the molding and not bend it. I would have the glass installer do the whole job, as this way they are responsible for it.

Windows aren't all that hard. If it's one that's "glued" in with butyl tape, they are actually pretty easy.

Gonna see what I can do and can’t do. The car can’t be driven yet so any glass guy will have to be mobile. I think @Tobias74 has a guy...

It might have been. But would have been for about 2 years prior
Tempered glass is an odd thing, it can be very hard to break, or very easy to break, but you don't really want it to have much pressure on it by anything hard. For example, years ago, when I was a kid, I threw a rock that probably weighed 40+ pounds at the back side window of a junked Ford wagon and it just bounced off. Fast forward several years and I was parting out a wrecked Fury, the back door window was up maybe 2 inches and a friend of mine barely tapped (not even hard enough to crack an egg) the edge of the glass with a pair of Channellocks, and the window exploded.
