was kinda curious as to how many 71 Fury GT's were still kicking around...figure with the local talent and resources this site has we should be able to get a pretty close count on whats left and identify them within a year or two and have a data base that the site can reference to id them...
thinkin this will save the 71 Fury GT going the way of the 70 Hurst with 500+ out there type idea..
If you have a 71 SportFury GT post it up no matter the condition..long as it still here today post it...will start with mine
Thanx

1. Originally from Prince Albert Saskatchewan..
One of 34 to come to Canada..Brougham Package

I know of 3 that were scrapped. Rod in Idaho has 2 (I do not believe that he is on FCBO) and I have one.

Someone on the East Coast of the US bought the Gold Promo that was for sale in Seattle.

I once read somewhere that typically 10% of the production of most car models survived 25 years.

5...think had that 10 percent reference on my 70..believe this was done early 90s when previous owner died so if were going at 7% that would leave 26.25..someone must be short parts...at 10% would be would be 37.5...guessing these are rarer than l first thought

My buddy Rob has one also in WI almost Johns twin pretty much. And a GT I found that I might be able to purchase very ruff shape.

The only sure way to do this is keep track of the VINs . Full tags are helpful , broadcast sheets are unrealistic but best.
Simply posting photos and locations will get " muddied" up after a few years .

Because of all the green ones.

So may I say this thread can be a casual registry?
Somebody should start a registry to have record of what is still out there.

National Moparts did have a Gold GT in their yard few years back
Green guts buckets and floor shift console. IIRC it was either scrapped or sold as parts only. It was a long time ago since I laid hands on it.

Interesting. My recollection was a story that the car had been purchased to restore. Certainly when I saw it it was still salvageable albeit a very major project.

There is another one that was still on the road locally here several years ago but tired looking. Haven't seen it recently. Orange white top w/sunroof.

AND that's why you gotta keep track of the VIN.

After 15 years of collecting info on my passion I realized the flaw. You gotta track them by VIN

It is quite possible it was sold to be restored. It has been a long time since I seen the car. Maybe Nigel can chime in to clarify its whereabouts...
Cheers

So true, and in that case you have at least different Colors and interiors, now think about the 300 Hurst, one reason there seems to be an endless line of them.
