Picked up a cool car this weekend. It was scheduled to be crushed Sept 8th so I had to save it. Sitting since 1975

That's a rare find. Hopefully you plan on getting ot back on the road. There ain't many row your own C's out there.

Great score! Congrats!
Now the challenge begins...and I hope you are up to it 'cause that is one rare car!
1965 has a lot of one year only parts that do not interchange with 1966 models.
But us C body guys are here to help!
So keep us posted and gladly answer any questions you may have!

Nice save hope you got a title also that would be the cherry on top.

That is really great news. From the pictures the body looks salvageable. As mentioned above what is the process in your area to get a title?

For now plan is to clean it out, take stock of what i have and what I need. Then collect what I need for it. I’m glad the pedals are still there but the console might be hard to find. Title where I’m at can be had in 5 min with bill of sale, hopefully they don’t change that

There's a guy not to far from me that has 5 or 6 '65 Sport Fury's (parts cars basically, including one 'vert for sure),If interested, when you get you want list together let me know, maybe he's got stuff you'll need.

Tru dat.
I have an original 65 4-speed car, it's very much a project car so easy to poke around it and get reference pics for you if needed.
The console won't be as bad as you think, you can piece one together.
You can use a 64-65 B-body console, then put in the correct C-body lights (which are reproduced for 66-70 B-bodies).
Or get a whole 65 SF auto-trans console and change the top plate for the shifter.
There's a reproduction (fiberglass?) shifter plate available last I knew. I've seen 2 different style of this plate in C-bodies (1 is ribbed, 1 is smooth) and don't know the rule for which one is used where.
If you use the AT chrome bezel that holds the shifter top plate, you need to grind some interferences out of it. (will be apparent if you hold the parts)

The tach and sender will be the priciest thing, seem they are around ~$750 as it's the same as a B-body.
The shifter handle might be the toughest thing to get, I haven't seen a repop or Hurst replacement that looks the same. Some of them might work OK, or be OK without a console, though.

Don't worry about getting it all correct just yet, you've got a lot of work ahead of you before you worry about correct and perfect.
You could get an 80% correct/70% condition console pieced together in a couple months of ebaying, I'd bet.

Shipping would probably be expensive to get anything sent up

True, I could just go without the console till later when I find/alter one

Great find, Regarding the Console ABC Mopars reproduces most of it now including the console body, top plate for the 4 speed, console door top and knee pad, you would have to find the chrome bezel for the shifter surround and tach bezel. Year One has a repop tach with the correct face on it that does not require the send unit, shifter handles pop up pretty regularly.

That is good to know thanks!

If you are looking for stuff, you can contact Flatla Auto Wrecking | Auto Wreckers Tilley | Home in Tilley, AB. Don't know where in SK you are, but it may just be a day trip for you. Call them and give a list of what you need.
Ya that is a good spot. I’ve been meaning to go back there. I’ve only been there once, it was a couple years ago and 65 Fury parts wouldn’t have been on my radar then!

Cleaned it up tonight few surprises but about what I expected. Bees decided to make a hive where I was hoping to find a build sheet. More pics on next page
