C-Body Car-B-Que

@NEIL I was planning to go to Hampshire this weekend. But I think I'll be going to the Morris Car Show on Sunday with the R/T instead. There's supposed to be close to 1000 cars. Never been to the Morris show, but did the Hampshire show before. Theres a car corral on Sunday in Morris too. (like I need another car)
I was at the Cary cruise night on Wednesday with the NYer. I invited some people that were there to come to the
Car-B-Que.
Hope you can stop by with your 300 convertible. You're probably closer than anyone else who'll be coming to Randall Oaks Park.

My mistake. I looked at a link for the 2 day show in Morris that happens in October.
Since the Morris cruise is Saturday, both days are now do-able.

Summer is starting to wind down, as noticed by my daughter earlier today, mentioning of how the days seem to be getting shorter. How true it is. On September 8th, daylight will end at 7:15, a 1/2 sooner than it did today.
At least we've got a some local happenings to do locally in the next couple weeks, including the cruise up to Milwaukee, and the Car-B-Que.
Trying to get a roll-call on the Car-B-Que. So who's coming? What ya planning to bring to throw on the grill?

I can tell the days are already shorter here by how dark it is on Tuesday at 5:30 am compared to what it was a month ago.

Hey Tim what kinda time frame are we talking about showing up...10am? Noon?

@BLIMP ,there's really no "set time". I didn't want to make it that kind of event. Anytime is good.
I'll be there for the day. Getting there early with the 72 Imperial, probably around 8:00'ish, to meet with a park district staff member who going to be there to unlock the small room in the shelter house that has the fridge, the washrooms, and to go through any final paperwork they need to see. (i.e.: the proof I have the Ins. cert that allows us to have alcohol in the park). No worries...we're covered.
Be good to see you and the fam again. Be sure you bring the old man with a hat and his 67 Imp with ya.@Xenon:poke:
Word has it, some bud's from MN will be in town for the party.
I'm hoping for a good turn out for our FCBO members. What could be better than being with a bunch of friends and their families, showing their rides, having good food and sharing a few drinks together?

Yeah, @BLIMP & @Xenon, I'm heading down friday, I hope to see you guys sometime during the weekend. And @70NEWYORKER (if he hasn't already said so). Look forward to cruising around the countryside with some fellow FCBO members and getting to put faces to names of members I haven't met yet.

Will be nice to see you again Scott, and check out the green machine!

He and I have been having a helluva time with the front calipers on that Imperial. Hopefully he'll have it figured out by Sunday, see ya then.

Work is going to feel like 87 hours vs the 12 it will actually be. Get off work and go home to feed the dog and say hi to Laura. Drop off car for 8:30 alignment, get some sleep and hopefully be in the road by 1:00. Wish my bank account could help me take the day off, but it is what it is.

Yesterday's first cruise planned by Michel, C bodies at the Lake, was a blast, from start to finish, I am sure anyone on this site would have enjoyed.
I got home around 1:30, and back up at 6am to get ready for today's event.
FYI....When you first pull into the park, you are going to turn to the right, and drive around the red barn to a service road that runs along the golf course.
You will pass 3 shelter houses, and while still on the service road, you will come up on a large parking lot. Our shelter house can not be seen from the road, but you can see it from the lot.
The light rain has stopped and the forecast looks like its going to get better as the day goes on.
I've filled the fridge with some refreshments.
See ya when you get here.
