What did you do to your C-body today....

Ordered a gasket kit for an Edelbrock 1407 that's going to go on the Monaco and see if that runs better. Also ordered a bulk set of plugs for the gray car.

Blew a heater hose, spewed coolant all over the header wrap and made it look like I had a huge fire Thursday. Fixed it yesterday and let it idle for 20 min to dry out the wrap. That was a Smokey mess

Restoring some wrecking yard wheelcovers that I scored for the Imperial. 2 1967 & 2 1969 that are being restored to look like a set of 1967 covers. The yard had a van full of wheelcovers...I emptied it out searching for the best covers that had no damage-hence the 67 and 69 versions I took home.

I intend to use these on my Imperial when I feel like changing up the look from the 68 version.

Hit the air ($#it) show yesterday. Stayed up late getting ready by installing my Sox & Martin plate frame and adding air to the tires.

The show was great but the staff failed miserably. Show parking was terrible and they overheated a record number of cars (you followed the coolant trail to the parking spots), had to cancel get your pic taken w a Warbird, the old car parade and then explained that no since we totally screwed up you can’t leave until we clear the field of every spectator !!! WTH ??? No way we were staying till 6 pm... in situations like that I’ve always deferred to those poor souls told to stay put and wait for help on the top floor of the twin towers. When in doubt do what you need to do...

It was fun but weesh man never again.

Saturday I drove the Polara up to Crookston (~100 miles) and met up with @Polara_500. He found a couple of stock wheels for me and there was a small local car show there. After a while at the show he gave me a tour of his 500 hoard. Thanks Mike.
It rained about the whole time driving up there, but the sun popped out when I arrived. On the way back I hit a torrential down pour just outside Fargo that washed all the bugs off. Wipers worked well and no front window leaks. I still have a seep into the trunk about a tablespoons worth. It was a good day though, clocking 200 miles.

Today I decided I needed to get the road grime off from yesterday’s trip.
Washed and waxed it. No hose shots.

Wondered about that, about 45 minutes after you left the skies opened up and dumped on me - although the showfield didn't get a drop. The rain stopped about a mile north of me, pure dust on the road from there on in.

Cleaning the carb for the new gaskets, and got my Champion 71S service pack of plugs in the mail.

Time to tune up the mower!

I dropped my car off at my sister's shop she works at, so they can fix all the holes in my floor panels. When i get it back off to find where more water is leaking in from, from behind the dash, to explain why the front left floor got so bad
MY '62 New Yorker had the same condition. The man who bought it discovered the offending area was the windshield; the seal was shot.

In the 90's today.....

Had issues with the 78 NYB. Fuel bowls were flooding so I adjusted the needle and seats and got that under control. Still had the vapor lock problem. I did install the carb shield. Still has a problem. I'm going to have to put in a electric fuel pump and stop this vapor lock madness.

I'm just pissed.....and its extremely hot here!

I'll just walk away from the NYB for awhile!!!!

Cooler days are down the road....

Got my reconditioned seat and window switches back today in the mail.. still wait in my DAMN seats.... the guy I had do the work to the switches is top shelf.. if anyone needs or wants his info, let me know.

Not a FN thing! I had to waste another day at the MVA for that stupid real ID BS even though I have a military ID and I already have a real ID drivers license. Another wasted FN day!!!!

I like the skirts but the clearance looks tight...
