How do you lock/unlock the doors without a key on the 1964 Chrysler 2-doors? (Windsor, 300, Newport, New Yorker). Haven’t got that far in my New Yorker project yet and I can’t figure out from the door card. On the four doors there’s a mechanical switch. There’s nothing on the two doors other than a window crank and an opener. Anyone?

If what you are asking is how you lock the doors after you get out of the car and close the doors without using the key the answer is you can't. You need to lock the driver's door with the key.

With all of the power options and technological advancements that were in place by 1967 it’s kind of blows me away that I have to stick my key in the door from the outside in order to lock it on my Imperial.

That's actually one of the features of the older Chryslers that I like the most, it makes it impossible to lock your keys in the car.

I like the solution in some GM models where you can lock it without a key but have to push the outside button simultaniously while throwing the door into the lock.
Still managed to lock me out once with that Feature within 30 years.

Interesting that’s in the imperial manual and not the Chrysler one as I studied it the other night on this exact subject- thanks guys.
