I just finished my last minute storm prep about an hour ago. I have my 73 t and c in a friend's garage, the 70 300 is high on the lift. Hopefully the storm stays offshore. The building is rated to 150mph, and I don't want to test it. I'm in Melbourne, probably 8 miles inland.

Seriously, I heard a comment on one of the YouTube damage videos about a house "well above sea level" Huh? I really don't think much of any land is above sea level down there unless it's man made.
Look at all the stick built buildings getting blown away, Really? Stick built down there and they say it was hurricane code too.
Anyone know if the residents of Barbuda which was devastated by hurricane Irma ever move back? Last I heard they were all up in NYC.

Nope I heard it from the Mayor's mouth on the radio phone interview.
This morning radio talk, Let the looting begin! The Sheriff's caught 2 thieves stealing sandbags from a construction site (felony + extra charge during hurricane warning)
Then there was a teaser about stealing sand from the beach, when it came up during another reported looting incident (Meth head) all I got out of it is that it is Grand Theft. Well I guess down around Cocoa that could be true as over the past couple of decades 10's of millions of taxpayer dollars have been spent on the 'Beach Renourishment Plan'.

Oh thank god that I haven't put on CNN, luckily I haven't heard any of the other talking heads going on about Global Warming, SuperStorm, Seas Rising, TORCON whatever.
But I haven't yet heard one of the weather experts really admit that they have no clue as to what it's going to do other than this mornings "Right on track".
One thing a Guberment weather expert said is when it stalls the storm pulls up colder water from the lower depths and can loose strength.

aaaaYep somewhere on the net someone was bitching 'bout the cost of tires for a Tesla, so that got me to do some searching which led to how long it will take to charge a Tesla, what I remember from the Tesla graph & charging station map is depending on model is that the fastest Tesla SuperCharge station will bring your battery to 80% (or approx 400 miles) in about 1 hour. Seems as with all Li-ion (whatever) batteries the last 20% charge takes the longest and if you plug into a 110 home outlet at home it can be up to 24hrs (hope you wern't in a hurry). BUT! The bonus of buying a Tesla is at their SuperCharge stations the charge is free as included in the price! (maybe only for the 100k car? I didn't take notes).
WallMart in Ormond Beach Fl has just put a electric car charging station in, I haven't seen a car there yet charging and don't know if it's a Tesla station or the cost but it's quite a few charging posts , like 6 or 8.
That would be funny if that wasn't the level of stupidity being elected into office to make up the rules that we all have to deal with. If a Republican said something that stupid it would be on the "news" every day for the next 10 years.
