RE: Marketplace rules

I wouldn't think so as you'd have to contact a separate 3rd party, plus it's not the posters ad, just sharing it. Joey may comment?

Joey, the no commentary rule doesn't apply to the "not mine, found on xxx" threads, does it?

what threads?

Relevant questions in for sale threads is fine, encouraged even. Commentary such as "Price too high" or "nice ride" not allowed

I get it, but that's a bummer, it was one of the things that made this site unique, we could have that banter and 99.9% of the threads didn't have any issues.

:wideyed::wtf: is there a new rule I'm just discovering??? (the rest of my appeal has been deleted...)

After taking a moment to research this issue, it appears to me, the rules have not been changed.

FWIW, I check my email at least once a month. I almost never have the ringer on and won't answer numbers I don't have programed anyhow. I usually reply to texts... eventually. BUT, I check in here almost every day.

The issue here is not so much a change of rule, but rather the potential for change of enforcement. I intend to conduct myself as usual, and if I am no longer a desired contributor... I'm sure Joey will let me know.

Thank you @Joeychgo , I have met a lot of very good friends through my activities here. Even if my behavior was considered cause for removal from this site, those friendships would continue.

For everyone else... don't panic... just continue to enjoy yourself as you have, you can decide what you can live with after Joey smacks you for crossing a line. If the place eventually evolves into something you can't live with, let me know where you're going so I can keep tabs on you. NOBODY wants me to call them during my "normal" hours

:drama:

Let’s not all panic, just post your stuff for sale in the general discussion forum.

I've only seen a few members get launched from FCBO, by the admin.
I don't expect this to start now with the new guideline.
IMO, the "Not Mine" is needed so the OP's
PM box isn't filled up with needless requests about a car or an item that can't be answered by the FCBO member.
A 30 day limit it too short of a time to keep a For Sale ad listed. I've used the search bar in this area to look for an item, and have had success locating parts in the ads that were posted past a 30 day window.
We all know what a PITA is is to find C Body parts. Why limit our search?

Legitimate sale items belong in various stuff for sale. If not interested in item move on without comment.
Sale ads posted from other sites are for entertainment and I figure fair game. And should be posted in Gold Member or Jokes and Funny Stuff.
I mean the “hose” and “no power vents” game is classic!

Are C bodies so popular now we have the same membership as the A, B, and E sites? Enforcement like the other sites have remove some of the value that made this mopar site better than the rest.
An a body part, if reasonably priced will go quickly on the A site. The same part for a C body, could take several years to sell at the same bargain price. Just my 2 wooden nickles worth.

I am just wondering why we are trying to fix something that isn't broke. I don't even visit B-Bodies Only very much for this very reason....seems like the moderators are always enforcing these rules...I have yet to see a for sale ad get out of hand here.

Its like not selling auto parts to reduce car accidents.

The C board seems to get away with the most murder as far as what Joey's ROE's for his sites. I have to say to Joey that it's about time he started enforcing the standards across his boards. Smokin Hot Sunday's wouldn't even lasted as long as it has over on BBO, and it's sure as hell wouldn't be in the funny pages or GD to boot! Probably would be in the Blue Room for the selected few!
I commend Joey for taking the time and effort to enforce the standard across all his forums, God knows it's been chaos between 3 sites I'm on since I've joined.
Set the Standard, enforce the Standard!
ROE=Rules of Engagement!
