I installed a A&A 6200 RPM governor in my 727 in the car and am having a bear of a time getting the parking rod back in correctly. Anyone have a trick for lining it up as you slide the tailshaft back on?

Take it out of park. It will lay correctly in there and once the housing is back on when you put it in park it will rengauge sprag.

Great! This board is something else......

Rotate the output shaft slightly and try again.

The snap ring will sometimes get hung up trying to go back over the bearing. Sometimes you have to expand on the way back on.

Did it work?
I'm going from half assed memory of changing my BIL governor.
Those A&A governor's will hit thier target
The trick to take it out of park work like a champ, however the car will not shift out of 1st now. I am calling A&A tomorrow.

That doesn't look good. What happened?
That is how the rod looked when i rebuilt the original motor, it ran perfect and never made a peep, and had great compression prior to the rebuild and stroker install.
