Boy, for me not needing another car the price does not motivate me. However for others that don't have a collector car or always wanted one of this year it may be of interest of you.

P.S. I hope the hood scoops are only adhesive on, no holes and can be removed without paint damage.

Keep her clean Grandpa.....

Apparently a wanna-be magnum 440 - not!
First thing I would do is ditch the AMC center caps for the correct ones and remove the hood scoops.
I wonder how many miles are on it - front seat looks pretty worn out compared to rear seat.
But a beautiful car overall.

I sold one virtually the same in appearance (but all stock) as this one about 6 years ago, same body color but mine had a green interior and vinyl top.
I prefer the 73 Monacos in terms of the tail light treatments and the increased sound insulation.

I like the '73 rear end better too. I wonder if a '73 rear bumper could be bolted onto a '72? ...that is, if one could find a '73 rear bumper?

But, I don't mind the AMC caps :poke:

Only one pic of all of them without the scoops prominantly displayed..... I'm pretty sure he's proud of that accomplishment!

C'mon John, one in ten million might be able to tell the difference! The use of the AMC caps is still far better than using the later center cap style.

I don't think the 73 bumpers would just attach to the rear of a 72 due to the changes made to comply with the bumper standards that started with the 73s and their ability to withstand more significant bumps. I do recall the valences for the rear bumpers also are plastic, not metal. That was a fail.

Hey, he is from Kentucky - they see things differently than the big city boys.

They seem to prefer a power steering return line hose routing a bit different than stock too. :wideyed:

I give the guy credit though for making the stance of that car pretty much perfect - not too low to the gound like most of them, including the one I sold.

Here, follow my email from the bottom up and his response...…………….

Peter everything works on the car. The scoops to my understanding were dealer installed. As for glued not really sure as they were on the car when my Father purchased approximately 30 years ago. Miles are unknown. Every so often the odometer skips. My Dads estimate was around 80000. But shows more. Any more questions you may text me at 352-572-4353. Car is Florida car been garaged every since owned

Hello, do all of the power options work? How many miles on the car? Are the hood scoops adhesive on without holes drilled and can they be removed without paint damage….Thanks

Well, the English language being what it is, it is now my understanding those scoops were dealer installed.
