I also like them for the same reason. However, in defense of Hot Rod's Drag Week coverage...it's live, warts and all. I try to watch an hour or two of the live feed each day, and sometimes I really get drawn in by some of the super average cars and some of their stories of struggles during the week.
I may be crazy, and I may not be able to make it happen but I bought my 66 Fury this past spring with the intent of building it and doing Drag Week. I have a lot of work ahead of me, and not a lot of spare time to do it in. Bucket list stuff...
The worst part is registration for 400 cars sold out in under 7 minutes for DW 2019.
