I have both a 71 300 with the 440 and a 66 383 (4v). I want to progressively start replacing all rubber hoses (vacuum lines, radiator overflow, heater, etc). Is there a resource on the proper sizes and lengths? If I were going to buy some in bulk, what should I buy and how much?

I apologize if this is common knowledge, but all the inner/outer diameter is overwhelming me, and the guys at the parts stores are no real help.

Maybe there is a kit for A or B bodies I should look into?

Thanks,
Joe

www.yearone.com has the PCV and brake booster hoses, they also sell the factory ribbed vacuum hoses for vac advance that you cut to fit. You will find these hoses in the B-Body catalogue. The correct grooved heater hoses and clamps cand be found at www.classicindustries.com. The heater hose is sold in 4' lengths that is cut to fit. Classic industries also has the 5/8" power steering return hose that is also cut to fit for those applications that use that style hose. I don't know of anyone currently doing the radiator overflow hose, but a radiator shop might be able to help with that. OEM Mopar radiator hoses are also a tough find. Year one has after market molded hoses for B-Bodys which are the same as C-Bodies for many applications.

Just pull one of each size go to a REAL parts store and look for an adult. We build walk-in stuff all the time. If you want new so you can drive it then it doesn’t matter what it went on just size and purpose. Don’t use brake booster hose for fuel etc... If you want 50 odd year old for your trailer queen that’s harder to find. Way harder.

Golden Hose Rule : always buy a bit longer than you need. Never trust the hose cutter guy. I don’t trust ours and I’ve known him for ten years. (He’s getting there...)
