HI,
I HAVE A 73 PLYMOUTH FURY II. WHEN THE CAR IS RUNNING THE HEAT IS CONSTANTLY RUNNING. EVEN WHEN THE HEAT IS IN THE OFF POSITION. CAN ANYBODY TELL ME WHERE TO START? ALSO LOOKING FOR A BYPASS CABLE.

THANKS A BUNCH

Logic would tell me that the heater control cable is not hooked up or the heat door is inoperable...
Soooo, follow the heater control cable from the dash to the heater box.. Cable should be looped on
end and on a tang of the slider and have a pressed on clip.. Then couple inches along the way there
is a cable casing hold down which keeps the outer part of the cable from moving..
Then follow it to the heater box under dash on right side and cable should be hooked to the heat
control door lever...

Hey Xenon
The cable is running from the heat control on the dash directly to the heater valve bypass. I know the cable is broken at the heat control dash end , so I've been moving it manually. Is the cable the same on any other bodies?

It has been over 45 years, but i seem to remember "B" and "C' bodies using the same cable.
