Eddie Money Dead

Just read that. My wife and older son saw him three years ago in concert, and I saw him way back in the early '80s. A big loss for real rock.

I heard he was not well, with the damn cancer. He was a hard working rocker. He was know for charging some of the lowest rates to do a show. He was at several local radio station events over the years, and always put on a great show. RIP

Saw Eddie Money at the Brownwood Reunion in Brownwood Tx back in i think 2010 it was. Hard working rocker, great music. His music is classic. It will live on.

RIP Eddie

I saw Eddie live back in the early 70's, he ripped, saw him during bike week in Daytona like a decade ago (he lives in the county north of us) and his comments "I wrote this song 2 rehab's ago" and the gut on him made me loose faith. Same with George Thorogood the previous year concert from Eddie, the size of his gut. Guess that's all that hard whiskey drinking. Glad I gave up the whiskey over 30 years ago.

Was a NYC Police Officer trainee

More like a undercover drug squad detective, in a radio interview way back long ago the host asked him if he was worried if anyone that he put in prison were out to get him now that he was popular and well known, his answer was that most of anyone he busted were dead.

RIP Eddie!!
Did he need/take 2 tickets to paradise or did he leave the 2nd one for someone else??

I heard on the news that he was a lifelong smoker and that was what got him.

Too bad, I liked him as well. I also liked the commercial he did 6-8 years ago where he sang 2 tickets to paradise. Can't remember what company it was for? But you could tell he was having a blast being in a commercial! Rip.

Saw him a few years ago in Mexico. It was a “Two Tickets to Paradise” promotional giveaway for a radio station in Chicago. My daughter was the umptieth caller or something and she won the trip. She couldn’t go though, because she was near due date with her third son (the doctor warned her she risked giving birth to a Mexican citizen if she went). So my wife and I went. Beautiful resort at Playa del Carmen. He did the show on the beach. He was looking pretty worn out even then, but he still sounded great and put on a great show. R.I.P. Eddie, you gave us all some great music.

RIP Eddie Money.....
