My Dad was the flight engineer on a B-17 in the Pacific theater during WWII. I always wanted to take a flight in a flying fortress as well. My son did a few years ago and I hope to yet!I was bummed when the Planes of Fame museum in Eden Prairie, MN moved to Texas. I hadn't had much of a chance to check out the planes and then they moved on me. Saw a bunch of fighter planes flying overhead throughout the years though, and always loved hearing and seeing them. Always wanted to go for a ride in the B-17.
No that is a real Zero I believe it is a A6M5/22P-51's and Corsairs are my favorites of this group. Is that Zero an AT-6 in disguise?

Interesting piece of history, it was such a good plane, the F4U was the only single-seat piston-engine fighter built during the Korean War. One of the reasons there are so many flying today.
P/F-82s were awesome looking planes!!
The A-10 of it's day, what a badass plane!I believe the A1 Skyraider was manufactured and saw combat during the Korean War.
And pilots with balls of steel!
