I am aware of a couple of FCBO members who also like some of the Forward Look cars and in particular the 1960 - 61 Desotos (maybe Kenny or Bob I believe).

Here is a very nice example that it looks like you could get in and drive anywhere. It sits a little too low for my preferences but otherwise I think it has a lot going for it:

There are plenty more photos in the listing..................................

This DeSoto Adventurer is one of approximately 3,000 two-door hardtops produced for the 1960 model year and was sold new at John Lubotsky Motor Sales, Inc. of Milwaukee, Wisconsin. The car spent time with five owners in Iowa, Alberta, and Montana before it was acquired by the seller in 2017. Finished in black with a white top over a tri-tone interior, it is powered by a 383ci V8 paired with a push-button three-speed automatic transmission. Service performed under current ownership included installation of a new water pump, thermostat, battery, belts, and radiator hoses as well as cleaning of the radiator. This Adventurer is offered with dealer paperwork, owner’s and service manuals, and a clean Oklahoma title in the seller’s name.

Beautiful, though I'm sure I would've liked it even better in the original red. I'll have to check back when the auction ends to see what it sold for.

nice that BaT picked it up. It DOES seem to have a low stance, wonder what that is from..... Sure seems nice, and OEM correct (although I'm sure the Forward Look crowd could point out some flaws). These don't turn up often, hope it finds a deserving home.

Thanks Steve @saforwardlook that's almost a perfect match to the one I had years ago! Exact same interior, mine had the 361. I'm sure it will bring a pretty decent price. I wish I had the room and money right now.

I'm not big on the stance either, but that's an easy fix. New rear spring packs and dial up the torsion bars.

Again... anyone want to buy some of my collection?

Well I guess I'm out. I set myself up to bid on this but its at my limit right now. $12,500.
Such is life. Beautiful car I hope whoever gets it enjoys!

That still seems like a good deal to me as I would have guessed it would sell for more in that condition.....................

I wish it would've sold for my $12,500. Wishful thinking on my part I know..... But what can you do. We have to live within our means.
I've got enough on my plate.
