Not mine. But if I were single...

An ideal set-up for a car enthusiast, it appears! Without investigation, the price sounds pretty good too! Is it on "higher ground"?

Is your "retreat" building such that a 2 bay shop could be beside it?

Easy to keep, clean, maintain. Plenty of yard. No landscaping, just mow and go.
Gawd, all you need is a cot, a Keurig, and a fridge.

Except it’s in Florida....

Choo Choo! He neglects to mention that it backs up to a rail line with 2 grade crossing within ear shot. ('least the neighbors should be deaf to the noise you'll make)

Also maybe in jeopardy of future rail line expansions.
Seems to have been for sale for awhile.

My personal favorite pure home for my purposes still would be a large storage building with all necessary installations and a large 60s/70s Trailer inside as a living room.

Is it the photo or is the building leaning to the left a little?
Otherwise it sounds like a great place.

Hey, that's my idea. Don't for get parking the trailer on that green plasticy grass looking carpet. A 3 locomotive group passing by in the middle of the night is like a lullaby.

Let me know when you have worked out the scheme to sell it to the wife. I'm in a dead end spot at the moment. :D

It's up by Ocala... I bet it's way overpriced. I know a guy with a nice place up there who's entire mortgage payment is less than my tax escrow... but I just don't have 3 hours round trip in me to move.

Now that's character. That's no truss-built McMansion with zero soul.

Some call it character but most would think it's about to have a visit from gravity & a good stiff wind!

There was a crooked man, and he walked a crooked mile,
He found a crooked sixpence against a crooked stile;
He bought a crooked cat which caught a crooked mouse,
And they all lived together in a little crooked house.

If you do go this route then I hope it all works out for you Stan.

Lots of ways to keep an "automotive theme" in the shop. Gotta have that front bench seat sitting on the floor (NO recliners, lest it fall over backwards). But in more recent times, some "base" to raise it off of the floor for easier exits. A quality AM/FM/Tape radio running 4 6x9 speakers, using a Group 27 battery and trickle charger for power. Some sort of portable a/c and heat producers, too. Along with running water and such. OH! Can't forget the fridge! Maybe even some of the "hot air" ovens or a microwave. Or a piece of carpet in the social area.

AND, of course, a comfy old sofa to dream on.

Enjoy!

Worse, it'ss in Ocala. Fuggin hotter n hell. No gulf breezes.

Yea over the years something has rubbed me wrong about Ocala and Marion County and it wasn't the pile of free chroming for my bike I got done by a quality shop up there back in the 70's (Black Chrome) or hearing on the news in the 90's that they went from 1 zipcode to 11.
Could it be wacked out cult religious nutjobs?
Jackasses here in Volusia County from Marion County running from the law?
Oh yea now I remember SINKHOLES!
