i was gonna chat with a person and started a new conversation. it says it cant because muh inbox is full. so i 'leave' all the conversations - there is no delete or archive options that i can see. So even though there may be valuable info within my private conversations, I must 'leave' them if i want to start a new one with someone new.
so fine, crap, whatever, i nuke them all who cares right.

i then try again to make my new conversation.

it says the OTHER guys inbox is full, and i cannot start this conversation. REEEEEEEEEEEEE.
i just deleted a bunch of good stuff for nothing as I cant launch a chat with this new person anyways...

part 2:
im logged in, and need to hop back to a post i just was on. I dont have a 'recent posts' link at the top menu bar. but if i log out, then i have a recent posts link.

PERHAPS . . . the messages could be copied to your computer by clicking and dragging over the desired text, then Right Click and "Copy", which should sent it to "Clipboard" in Word, for printing into a new file in your Documents for such? When the new Document file is created, then put the cursor on the page and left click. The "copy" should appear magically. I've done that with portions of emails I desired to directly put into other documents I was doing. Works much better than using a "Word Block" in the Word upper menus.

The PMs can also be edited, I believe, so the non-essential parts can be deleted, which should decrease the amount of server space they occupy?

It's all about server space used by the PMs, I suspect.

Just some thoughts,

Just tried it with a PM. Works. Just need to have a Document file to put the "Copy" into. MAKE SURE where the cursor is placed, though.

I've done the same from some normal posts of jokes, with a file I created "Low On Gravy".

Enjoy!

If you don't want to lose the info in the threads you delete, you can (i) follow @CBODY67 's suggestion of copy/paste into a text editor, or (ii) print/save the content as a PDF file before deleting it. For multi-page convos you will need to do so for each page, but at least you'll have the info saved.

An alternative, which leaves you at the mercy of future FCBO policy changes, is to become a Gold member. That's what I did, not only for the PM limit increase but also because I feel this site provides a valuable service and want to support it / increase the likelihood that it lives on.

Not sure exactly what you want to do but at any time you can go to "Your Content" in the drop down and it provides an accessible list of your recent activity on this site.

When I might venture off into the specific posting sections, I get back to "Recent Posts" by just logging out and then coming back to the main address www.forcbodiesonly.com , which brings up the "Recent Post" listings. Getting back to "Recent Posts" with a dedicated link would be easier.

There's always the "Back" arrow/button, too. Might need multiple actuations, though.

I think the old "recent links" listed more posts. The "home" page is just one page of recents. Maybe it never was, but I thought the list of posts used to be much longer.

ALSO You can right click the back button to find recent history and Full History in most browsers if your really lost. Also you can just bookmark the the Recent Post page, duh.
All this may be m00t if yer poking at the screen with your fingers :poke:

its been a pain...l just don't bother with them anymore....new isn't always better
the place is goin downhill in a slow boat these days...

Problem is that "slow boats downhill" usually gather speed unless somebody throws out a line to a dock nearby to stop it. THAT's the trick!
