O gauge Trains

I picked up a beat up set of 2033 to go with my 2023's that I repainted. Turned out good and they run better and faster then my 2023's.

Down town is starting to come together. Had some thin wood sheeting left over, that was used as the sidewalk/curb. Painted it with some rustoleum textured paint to give it that sidewalk look.

I felt bad.... had to rip some of the accessories off of the woodland scenic buildings, to get em up close together. I’ll try and re use what came off else where. I wish the woodland scenic buildings came lit. Added some LED’s inside, but they aren’t as good as the MTH lighted buildings. Love the blinking all you can eat neon sign in the Chinese restaurant!

Some roads and accessories will make it pop eventually.

Another orphan came home from the Daytona show today. A 2333 to continue the Santa Fe collection. Came from the same vendor my 2343 came from.

These ones seem to be a bit of a pain to find in good shape. Been keeping an eye out with not much luck. This one is not mint, but pretty decent. She runs so much quieter than the other horizontal motored units. Gave her a service once home, and she’s running laps. Seems the e unit has some cheap aftermarket replacement parts in it. May need a rebuild.

Very impressive F3 collection! Now all you need to do is kick back and enjoy some Blue Comet single malt whisky in an official PRR scotch glass....

Thank you! That is bad ***!! I may have to find me a bottle for some enjoyment!

Downtown got some more construction tonight. It’s pretty bad when the bums move in first, before the normal folk! LOL

At least the ice cream shop is up and running.

It brings me back to my childhood in the 1960's playing with my Dad's childhood Lionel trains from the 1930's. Unfortunately the crackheads in my family stole and sold off the trains for probably $5 in 70's and 80's when I was overseas. Long gone....

Lionel trains was and is a big deal in Milwaukee.
Being just down the road in Chi-town, I used to love going Downtown to Marshall Field's toy section at Christmas time. They had the biggest badass layout, as well as the Museum of Science & Industry, or was it Field Museum?

Wow, love your trains! So much so that I've dug out a bunch of HO stuff I packed away in 1974 and have decided to build a layout. My better half is also interested so I guess I will build structures and she will design and build the landscape. So for the next while cars and all will take the back seat at least until spring arrives with some decent cruising weather returns.

See you all about May, provided I make it through the winter.

Excellent!! Give us some progress shots along the way! Maybe we can bring you to the dark side of “O” one day LOL. Great to hear the significant other wants to be involved. Mine tolerates it luckily, however is not much interested in it...

Before you know it, you will completely forget about the car/s haha!

had a little lazy Sunday running session today. I’m really enjoying these 2333’s. Such quiet smooth runners. I leave the E unit locked in forward as she’s still a little finicky.

Want to pick up some more wood this week, and get another display shelf built. I’m all out of space again...

And the hobby's about as expensive [if not more so] then old cars!

I tried telling myself at first that “this is much cheaper than the cars for sure!”....... What a jackass!! LOL
