1967 Dodge Polara 500 Convertible

Congratulations Will, that's a great catch! Regarding the mileage I'm not seeing the discrepancy. First owner sold the car in 1970 with 26,500. According to the first post, the second owner, (the OP's dad) drove the car until 1974 when it went into stroage. I don't see it to be unusual to put 15K a year on a car. Regardless, it looks awesome!

I rehashed all the information and came up with the same thing you did. I was thinking the car was stored with the 1970 mileage...…. wrong. I'm still tickled to have it.

I've been busy on the Polara the past couple days. Front brakes are restored, waiting for the correct rear wheel cylinders, All new hoses, flushed the steel lines and a new master cylinder.
Got rid of the high lift rear spring shackles from hell, new OEM shackles. Air shocks to the scrap pile, new rear shocks installed. Totally removed the existing exhaust system in anticipation of the new tti system.
Some minor corrections, correct neg batt cable, correct batt hold down. Fuel system now operational. fuel guage working.
And some theraputical chrome polishing.

Thanks for the update. Nice to see her getting much needed TLC.

How's it coming Will?

I'm still traveling after Carlisle. Michigan now. I've attended two shows and a vintage camper rally here so far. North Carolina in a week or so. I should be home sometime in Sept. I've found a couple of nice pieces for the Polara along the way.
I am anxious to get back and continue with the car. Should be my driver pretty soon.

Wow Will!

I'm going to start calling you "Traveling Man"

I can imagine you rolling down the road with Bob Seger in the 8 track listening to this on full blast with the windows and top down.....

Noooo, no gypsi here Jer. Well..... maybe a little.
Going to visit friends in Kanapolis and Lexington. As great as a visit to Wilmington sounds, it would be a stretch. Going to have to put it in the wind for home soon. BUT...… that's a couple weeks off yet. I've got your number.

After not being able to find anything larger than 215 x 14 tires for the Polara I've decided to step up to 15" wheels and 235 X 15 whitewalls. The parts book shows a 15 " wheel cover as being available in 67 but no illustration, so, I don't know what to look for. Anyone know what they look like? Or better yet, have any. Need a set of four.
I'll also need a set of 15 inch steel rims.
Thanks.

Will.

15" wheel was standard with disc brakes. Some C-Body Mopars in'67 had the two stripe white wall ,some had a single ones that we about 5/8".

The 15 inch cover looked like this for 67/ 68. Only pic of a 67 I could find is a wagon. I found a 68 vert pic though...

I'd put a set of rims from an M body on it...the standard size was 15x7.

It is not the best shot but they refer to the disc brakes so they would be 15 inch wheels. I have never seen these covers personally.

Update I found another set and these are 14" covers, sorry.

Thank you. I really like these covers. I found a set but they were priced way high. I think they were used on the Hemi coronets.
