Meet Maggie May!

Nice to know you didn't have to fab. Makes me think I'm over thinking my window channel a bit.... glad I haven't gone any farther with that!

She has a reman 318 hooked to the original 727 and 8-3/4 open rear.
Power drum brakes,power steering.
A nice simple little old lady's car.

looks to be a freshly painted 318 too. Congratulations on a great Fury. I think when Maggie is finished with the rot repair and new top, Maggie will be thrilled to drive it. Are you planning on putting a dual exhaust on?

As much as I rather have duals,I will let Maggie decide that.
Priority is do the repairs that are needed now.
The single exhaust on it now is in very good shape and with the engine bored 60 over Frankie does have a nice exhaust note already.
Possibly down the road when the exhaust needs replacing she may consider it, but for now it it is not broken,we do not fix it.
Cheers!!

Wednesday the vinyl top guy will stop in to check the roof and will set a date for installation.
The headliner and carpet sets have arrived as well.
We decided to do the carpet in the spring to avoid any varmint damage over winter storage.
If mice and chipmunks eat the old carpet no worries.
The car will be in heated storage and properly prepped for the long winter slumber.

Since you've got new carpets coming, maybe remove the old ones just before you put her up for the winter so the varmints don't even get a chance to "setup shop"

Great job BTW:thumbsup:
Thanks!! As for the carpet. Rather remove the seats just once and do it all at once.
Dryer sheets do work to keep critters out.

That's what I meant, then re install in the spring and start fresh. Unless you don't have space then never mind. Carry on.

Very productive weekend.
Gas tank installed.
Now the car runs on its own fuel supply.
Removed what was needed in order to do the headliner...
Taking it home to get cleaned up..

Now would be the time to sound deaden the roof.. make things a bit quieter.. or insulate it.. IMO.

Last night the new headliner went in.
This is very hard work and is a dying art.
Huge thanks to Bill Beckett.
Bill is seen here spraying the glue prior to installation...
