Seeing as how it is 2 weeks out, I want to make sure anyone who is in driving distance atleast gets the heads up! This is a 1st Annual start-up event called #MoparVsBrandXstreetcarShowdown and its for 1999 and older hotrods. Its at #JakesDragstrip in Danville, AL. We should have a healthy crowd of contenders as we have had similar events with great luck before. Ill put the example tech card below which should answer most questions but If not feel free to ask. I wont be using my one and only C-body (65 Polara) for this event as its not even close to ready... instead i will be in my 69 Super Bee hoping for some 7-second passes! (1/8). If you can make it... Please arrive by 10am as we will be going on a cruise through the forest at 11. Racing should start shortly after we return. MuleTown Mobile Dyno will be there for anyone wanting to strap onto the roller!

1/8th mile? That's gear racing, not power.
I would usually agree, but this is a bunch of regular street cars. Ones that will have to drive 40 miles at highway speed just before racing so for the most part the tallest gears are around 4.10 with most having 3.23s/3.55s

We fought off the rain at the event, it pushed back the racing till the evening but where able to get on the Dyno and go for the 40 mile cruise! Still got the racing in just had to run until 11pm. My 383 Super Bee was able to put down 348hp and ran 7.98 in the 1/8th.

Off topic question-is it possible to race a car with a push button transmission? Just something I have wondered about.
