More Apocalypse news from Kalifornia republic of...

I’m ready to vote for any challenger with no political experience next election.
These career political types are way out of touch with reality.

An 18 year old psycho bar maid of course would be ignored.
I also will ignore candidates that change their platform as they travel state to state.

Perhaps politicians need to be hooked up to a lie detector whenever they speak!!

It's easier than that, just see if the lips move. If they don't, it's their ventriloquist handler lying...

If we started running them through a tomahawk chipper shredders when they're caught lying, it'd stop fairly quickly.

I'm going to start running myself. My Slogan, MGGA. Make Guillotines Great Again.

In Rome you had to be standing on a stool with a noose around your neck to propose any new laws. makes me kind nostalgic for the good old days...

So now you have to accept the fact that you have to live where they can or will turn off your power for no legal reason whatsoever for any length of time. What's next, water? Oh wait, they already tried that! NO, that's completely unacceptable and anybody that does accept is a idiot!!

They did all that mayhem turning off power and here the results.

Riverside area trash truck dumps burning load into field w high winds as a motorist begs him to find a better spot.

75 homes gone 1 (so far) dead.
Power company- 0

Angry birds ( no joke ) billboard flys into transformer lights San Fernando Valley on Fire. Splits state in two. Trapped tens of thousands in traffic. Many homes lost at a cost of millions.
Power company- 0

It’s still windy and they’re already caving and turning the power back on. They said on the radio this morning “it could’ve been handled better...”. Wow.

Here is where the state was cut in half. My wife was stuck in traffic for about 5 hours. She traveled 10 miles back and forth.

Holy crap!
Next spring I’m taking a long planned road trip out west to visit brothers and their families.
After a stop in Phoenix I’ll drive the PCH up to the bay area to visit another brother and family.
Then race for the Nevada border and on to Colorado.
Between Venice Beach and S.F. it should be entertaining. Hopefully they haven’t effed up the coast road with it’s views yet.
The brother in the Modesto area already misses the Great Lake State after only two years.

At pushin $5 a gal. you'd better rent the cheapest econo box you can, and then take out a 2nd mortgage on the house to afford it! I can see why your Brother misses it, but I have no desire to go back to the Mid-west.

The money necessary to upgrade that system is incredible.

So is the money they take in every day. How many millions of households are paying them a couple hundo a month, for this great service?

They should of been doing maintenance all along not just when the **** hits the fan.

One death I know of attributed to the power shut down.

That was the first thing I thought of.
Dad had an oxygen machine in his condo for his last six months.
Those tanks they gave him don’t last too long.

If you time it right you can hit the spring fling in April.

The PCH between Venice and Oxnard is tuff. The PCH between Oxnard & Santa Barbara is nice. Once you get north of San Luis obisbo it is amazing. I used to live in San Jose (1960’s) and we always used the PCH to hit Orange County. It’s worth the time and $$$. Best drive you’ll ever take out on the California coast. We still take it to go up to the Monterey Historics. It’s worth the effort.

Rent a small engine conv mustang. We used one in Hawaii where gas wasn’t cheep either. Funny it’s still higher here in SoCal so we were getting a deal !!!

I’m not renting. I’m road tripping from Michigan.
I’ve driven the PCH returning to LA from the Reagan Museum.
Not the most scenic stretch. We have as good or better here.
