With a little regret, I’m letting go of my second ‘66 300. I had planned a full resto, but once I got the powder blue ‘66, the funds dried up.

So, here’s what I have.

The car needs work. It runs and drives. It's not road ready. You should NOT drive it home.

As for the body, the car comes with parts from a cut up 66’ 4-door car.
Quarters for skins.
Doors.
Glass.
Bumpers.
Fenders.
Trim for almost the whole car.
Dash.
Full Steering column.
Windshield.
And an assortment of drive train parts.

Clean title in hand.

Best Offer/ Very open to offers.

Message for details.

Have a great day.

Yeaaaaaaa I’m well aware how pointless covering a plate is, BUT, I put that picture on Facebook marketplace first... and that place is crawling with internet trolls from all over the place. So, I caved to irrational fears.

Also, if you’re referring to the tail light bezel... that’s all part of 1966 300 hell.

It's interesting that you're starting in very much the same position that I was in when I embarked on the resto of my '66 Windsor. The parts stash in the corner looks similar, including the rear fenders cut from a 4-door. The paint colour of your car is even the same as mine!

BTW, if you have a good Saddle Bronze driver's side armrest pad without an ashtray in it, I would be interested in buying it. I see your parts-car doors still have armrests on them, and your interior is black so you (or whoever buys your car rather) won't need them. :)

This is probably my favorite C-Body car... I love everything about the lines on this car. There is a guy selling one locally in a color closer to Turbine Bronze, but it's got layers of body filler over acres of rust.
If it weren't for hearing about how hard it is to find parts for the 66, I'd already be hocking off some of my gun collection to get this car from you.

Hey
Yea, I’d be cool with doing that. When I get a minute I’ll go out and take a picture so you can see if it’s what you want.

I know the parts hunt all too well.

In all honesty, the hard “part” is the passenger tail light bezel. It’s gonna be $4-500 no matter where you find it.

Other than that, the rest of the parts are fairly common. Most is interchangeable between any Chrysler 1965-1966. In this case I have TONS of extra parts and trim.

I even have another mangled rear tail light bezel that comes with it. It’s just THAT part that sucks to be honest.

I should mention again, I’m very open to all offers.

Is it the plastic part? I could probably print it.

I do have all the pieces of a broken bezel for the car. I know pot metal doesn’t tac weld well, they are there if someone wanted to try.

(But honestly, someone just needs to make a mold for everyone.)

Then again, how bad would a 3d printed resin bezel, that is then chrome plated, be as apposed to the unobtainable pot metal?

Well, you can't chrome plate plastic, that's one problem. Unless you count the trash used on modern vehicles, and I'm pretty sure that's not exactly chrome. What I can do though, is print a mold for that part needed, create a wax casting, then cast that in plaster, and do an aluminum cast pour of it...

but pot metal is probably still stronger.

Pot metal, a.k.a. "white metal", is basically a crappy alloy of mostly aluminum and zinc. Aluminum would probably be better in every regard.

There is a process to chrome-plate rigid plastics with real chrome. Armrest bases on our old Mopars are chrome plated-plastic. AFAIK it is still done the same way, though there are now paints that come very close to a true chrome finish. First a conductive coating is applied to the parts, then they are either electroplated in a plating bath or by vacuum metal deposition.

I can print in conductive filament used to make circuits, and iron-based filaments that will stick to a magnet... I'll stop derailing this thread though, and start my own, maybe I can contribute something to the community! Sorry @yeaitsgotaslant6

Most emblems on vehicles today are plastic with some sort of chrome plating.
Certainly not the same process as say a bumper.

You would literally become the new golden god of the C body community!

No worries!!!!! I am ALL about it. It’s the hobby my man. It’s better for all of us!

I was referring to the license plate censorship. I find this hilarious, and appreciate this photo, because I am collecting ones like this for a future thread that I have planned.....:D

Now...back to the plastic tail light bezel reproduction....
