Hi all, this is my first official post here, so forgive me if there are any errors in placement.
I have recently acquired this great car from the original owner and long time friend who fell ill and passed on. Over the last two months I have been tinkering with the very minor things it needed to run right, not leak, and function otherwise normally. I'm about at the end of MY list of things to do. Which includes the convertible boot. I have called Convertible top guys, and Topdown ( or something like that ) out of Florida. Both told me that the 67 Polara is different from any other 67 C-body and it must be custom made. I saw the recent post for the 67 Newport conv in Canada, and would swear it appears to be the same? Any wisdom about this subject?
Thanks in advance.

Nice car !! Try legendary auto interiors they made the boot for my 69 sport Fury and it fit well. For now I would take it to a GOOD Upholstery shop and just have it repaired.

You should ask them (Convertible Top Guys) if they include a shovel with each order to deal with their BS. www.legendayautointeriors.com shows a black C-Body boot. SKU: CB67CM00017100. Fits '67-'68 C-Bodies, pretty sure they all use the same boot.

Thank you! I am thankful that he took really good care of it all those years. As a matter of fact the drivetrain, steering and suspension, brakes, fuel system... everything has been replaced or rebuilt in the last 13 years by yours truly. I have a call in to a shop to look at the boot, just haven't taken it in yet. Then I saw the Newport for sale post and looked at the boot lists they offer and they list it.

Your boot should have been identical to mine , I bet they kept sending you a Chrysler boot .

That is a gorgeous 67 Polara convertible. I see why you want a new boot because the car is in fabulous condition. I used convertible top guys for my 65 Polara convertible boot but it came without the snaps so I took it to an upholstery shop and they installed them. it fits great now. You probably talked to someone who has never heard of a Polara.

Some trivia: Of the C body slab convertibles, the Imperial boot is different and unique (Of course! Sometimes I wonder why I love Imperials so much to go through the aggravation!).

Does not use snaps but rather clips that hook around the chrome surrounding the well (Like Fuseys).

Also on the Imperial the well is shorter which makes the Imperial rook line look more "formal" like the hardtop roofline while the Chrysler, Dodge, Plymouth longer wells make them have a fast top roof line with the top up.

The Chrysler Dodge Plymouths:

The Imperial- just note the difference in the angle of the rear of the top with the trailing edge of the quarter glass and it stands out.
