Took my Newport for a ride last night . . .

Just checked out the pics! What a find! I wish i had some kind of history on mine, was told it was built here and shipped to quebec. havnt ckd for build sheet. The cruise control is nice option. You just dont see them at car shows much either.

Thanks, having some history is kinda cool. I was able to reach the son of the original owner a while back and he shared some additional details. It was his Dad's first new car and he loved it. Even when it was new, it was never driven in the winter. Isn't that something? That helps explain how a PA car can be rust free. And you're right, other than Carlisle and the Nats, I don't think I saw another C body at the local shows I went to.

Would love to see some pics of your 300!

I was born and raised in upstate new york, little ole horseheads. I know all about winter and rusty rides back in the day! I have pics of my 300 in photo garages. I got a brother there with a 65 300L, just had motor rebuilt. He has been buying and selling E and B bodies for 30 years, finally got into C bodies. Once again i Love the newport!

Beautiful car Barry! What car dealer did you take those at?
Don't know what part of West Seneca you're from, but I grew up in Kaisertown, and worked at Melinski's NSI on Clinton and Rossler right where Buffalo, West Seneca and Cheektowaga meet back in the late 70's. I actually took over the place at one point for a couple of years as Ken's Service.
Maybe sometime we could bring up our '67 Imperial and go for a beer and Roast Beef on Kimmelweck some place.

Hi there, 78Brougham, I'm close to Orchard Park, but am familiar with Kaisertown, that's a nice part of Buffalo/West Seneca.

We'd love to get together with you, having our 67's together would be pretty awesome! Maybe for one of our car shows? Let's stay in touch!

Just looked at the pics of your car in photo garage, wow, what a beauty! Love it!

Sounds great! Both my brother and sister live in O.P. They tell me there's a nice show in downtown Orchard Park. I'll get some more info unless you already know about it. Hopefully we can get together for it.
We'll hook up in the spring, the cars are about ready to be put up for the winter.

Looks like the Sabres and the Bills are off to a good start!:thumbsup:

PM me sometime.

I had my car at the OP show in the summer, it was a really good event! We have a nice show in WS as well, on Labor Day weekend.

I'll be putting my car away for the winter tomorrow, so yes, let's hook up in the spring.

Awesome car Barry, I love the wheels. Here in Tampa the weather is getting cooler and I'll be taking my Newport out each weekend to a show.

Thanks, Richard! Love your car also, great color combo! It's cool that our cars are so long that they don't fit in the picture  No more shows this year for us in Western NY unfortunately.

Heading over to the Turkey Run in Daytona at Thanksgiving?

Richard Reau I think this one is for you

Or any of the Fl guys.
It’s not much of a Mopar event but it’s huge show.
I probably spend most of my time in the huge overpriced car corral.

OOps sorry. Turkey run in Daytona...sounds like a good excuse to get out of Thanksgiving dinner with my in-laws!!

Hey Barry, is that your car in your profile photo? If so, the passenger side shot is my desktop background! My wife keeps saying the car is ugly, but then she walks by my computer and says how great my car looks in that photo. Sometimes I think she tunes me out....

Hi Richard, yes, the photo to the left looking down the side is my car. My oldest son took that shot at the Nats last year. I liked it so much he had it blown up and mounted like a painting. Love it! It's so cool that it's your desktop!
