I have some good news to share with everyone. I finally had a chance to get my Imperial started and running for a while today.

I still have a lot of work to do but each item I do gets me that much closer. I was so excited when I got her going I almost had to go change my pants. Seriously, I was happy to get her running from her long slumber.

The pics didn't load.... :poke:

Thank you for the comments and I have a 69 Lebaron. I will take some pictures and get them loaded soon.

Can you post a video from your phone without using a url?

Hello again, finally I do have a few pictures, not the best but I do have some.
I currently have the front grille removed and the hubcaps because I am in the process of restoring these items. I previously posted pics of the hubcaps. I did have a new trunk mat made and I have a photo included.

Please keep in mind I am working on the mechanical items before I worry about the outside too much. I look forward to your feedback. Again, sorry for there delay.

Interesting upholstering pattern. I don't think I've ever seen anything like that before, I like it.

In all honesty, I wasn't questioning it's originality, just observing I had never seen that 'stitching' pattern before and I like it. But it is nice to have it's originality verified also.

I did not take it that way, I just thought I would help pass along some info for others that may not know. By the way that is a great website and I would highly recommend checking it out when you have time!

Yes, you did and thank you!
The car is like a time capsule that was locked away in a garage. I have to admit I am having a hard time not wanting to jump in and drive it. Unfortunately, she has not been driven enough to matter in a number of years. I need to be sure I take care and refurbish my Big Beautiful Woman (BBW) before I get her out to stretch her legs too much.

I have another update on some progress. This time I worked on the center grill and I thought I would share some photos of the results below. I have included a picture of the product I used as well.
I used an aluminum brightener with q-tips to get in the corners of the grill pieces. I have one half of the grill that is cleaned and the other half was not cleaned, so you can see side by side the difference. The product worked great, but it is pretty strong so be sure to use in a well ventilated area, plus I would not use on any paint, plastic or rubber. This stuff is probably slightly caustic, same stuff that is used on big trucks to quickly CLEAN BARE ALUMINUM ONLY. DO NOT USE ON ANY COATED, POLISHED OR PROTECTED ALUMINUM.
