I'll put this here because it's not very specific.
I'm looking for cheap plastic 7" round headlights. My main goal is to save weight.
Yes, I know they will yellow and perform is not that good. They are to go onto my Barracuda which is primarily a race car so durability I not a concern.
I have searched this online and all seem to come up with glass lenses and plastic or steel shell. I was looking to lose the weight of glass.
Just fishing for something any of you might have seen available. Thanks

I, too have been searching for the same thing for a 65 Belvedere race car. I have not had any luck finding them either. They were made back in the late '80s or '90s, but none seem to be available now. Closest thing I have found is the conversion headlights and they are heavier than the 7" glass headlamp. Just an FYI, a pair of glass 6014 sealed beams weighs in at 3 lbs. Assembled in the headlight buckets, they come in at 5 lbs a pair. Plastic lenses won't save a lot of weight, but it all adds up. I am still looking for them.

The thing is with the conversion assemblies, most are heavier as a unit than the 6014 bulb itself. You have to read the specs carefully as most have a glass lens. I am not knocking any of these suggestions, but the primary idea is to save weight (and illuminate).

Use those fake headlight decals they slap onto those NASCAR aberrations.
No!
I like the Lexan ones for a Jeep. Most you see claim crystal clear glass lenses. Thanks for the input. I'll probably end up with some cheap swap meet ones I may happen across.
I can still put regular sealed beams in. I need to swap the ones on my Pete, they have time on them and new ones always seem brighter. With winter coming it will be needed.

Are all truck headlights crappy? Seems like they never have the correct pattern on the road.

Yes, I put my left one, way out on the road, it will shine over your car, if your in a 4x4 pick up your getting blasted right in the mirror, tough $#!& You do it constantly to everyone else so pay back is a *****. My right headlight is pretty well aimed but has a hole in it, been there over a year, happened right after I put it in last fall, I'm waiting for it to fail. So it is all dirty inside after a year. I'm going to mount some cheapy LED tractor lights on the bottom of the bumper as "fog lights". About the time they go yellow it will be back to daylight savings time.
