1958 Imperial Crown Limousine By Ghia
1958 IMPERIAL CROWN LIMOUSINE BY GHIA
One of only 31 of the ultra-exclusive factory Imperial limousines sold in 1958. Designed by Virgil Exner and built by Ghia of Turin, the Imperial Crown is one of the most luxurious American cars of the era. This example was delivered new to a wealthy Canadian family and kept by them for many years. Recently out of long-term ownership and presented in excellent order. This vehicle just arrived, and a full description is coming soon. Please contact Hyman Ltd for more details.

haha, notice the pw switches on the front doors........
it didnt come with those originally !

The P.W. switches in the back are original at least in appearance. There are people that rebuild them so I suspect were destroyed or gone so went newer.

I found this image of another '58 Ghia, the switch looks the same to me:

More searching, found this restored '58, switch is different:

I wonder if this is the same limo that was in the Godfather.

A memorable scene from Godfather II (released 1974) for all Imperial fans, but it's unlikely it was this particular car, as the ad states "this example was delivered new to a wealthy Canadian family and kept by them for many years". If you can prove the scene was shot in the State of New York, you may have a point.

The Godfather pictured one has 15" wheels by the holes of the outside edge. In 1959 it started out as 14" wheels and midyear went to 15". The hubcap appears the same except for the holes on the outside edges.
