I like the car but hate the door dinger front to back molding on each side. I had mine removed. My car did not come with them when new. How do I know that? I was 17 yoa when my neighbor brought it home. It was my job to take car of their cars, dogs and lawn. Although my car has 100k more miles than that one, it is very clean and taken care of. My memories of my friend makes my car priceless but that only belongs to me and I know someday the day will come for me to say good bye to it.

cantflip: You said it!! And there are a few other 2 door Formals that are really nice cars, however, the pricing is just ridiculous! I understand a little increase in pricing (year over year) but some of this stuff is way out and is one of the reasons they don't sell....year after year, ect!

The Hemmings ad doesn't say it, but you know it should have: "A/C needs charged."

That's called Inflation... LOL! These folks are obviously hoping for some Foreign buyer....that will never appear! 7-8 Grand on this one.

I might consider it for 5-7k. Only because I would like to add a black formal to what I have. However, what would worry me about this car is the rust that has started on the inner fender, the hood insulation was replaced, and the leak in the muffler. For the price he is asking, the car should be absolutely perfect. Especially with the 35,500 miles he claims to be on it.

Also the texture of some of the paint suggests some respraying.

If I was in the market for a Formal, I'd be looking at this 44K mile car. No AutoTemp, and the ad states new wipers. (They must work. Why replace them if they don't work?)
It may not be as nice as the one posted by Steve, but being 1/2 the price for another '78 that seemingly had a pampered life, it may not take too much to bring it up to a show quality vehicle IMO.
BTW....not mine.

Unusual to see a coupe with manual A/C!

I can remember in my hometown in 1976 the Chrysler dealer here had a '76 NYB with the St. Regis package.....Triple white....just beautiful!
