Kowalski rides again

I was hoping he'd install a houndstooth interior like the original but I think the material is still on back order. Great job on the restoration but I have to laugh if he thinks 13 months is a long time.

Just watched it. Liked the Highway 440. Barry Newman would be impressed.
I'd be nervous beating on anything in that industrial park area though!!!!!

i slap that disc in and smile the whole time i'm watching it . i've got that setup in a 70 rt challenger , with mods . it really runs hard . mine would need a resto to get it back on the road .

Kind of a funny story. A few weeks ago my wife and I were driving down the freeway when a truck passed us. It said Kowalski Plumbing on the side. I chuckled a bit and when she asked what's so funny I started telling her about Vanishing point. As I was explaining I looked in my side mirror and what was coming up on us? An all white Challenger. It was a new one but I still thought the coincidence was funny.

polars , that original colors , but it was sold in 71 , but a 70 model challenger r/r 383 3spd , as i recall . when i bought , i had a long talk with the guy that built it , he had a stack of engine and trans build receipts . he built this 440 6 pack to put in it . well it got some small mods , headers , dual point accel and mallory coil , comp cams hyd , 143 t flywhl 11'' clutch , 6 pack a833 tranny . its a drum brake car , 8 3/4 r/e . he runs the car for a short time , and put the r's to it . and damages the head and some pistons , so its back to together again , and the same thing plus a rod and the crank gets screwed up . so here it is third time on the build , he spares no costs , new rm crankshaft and a set of carrilo steel comp rods . so he's breaking this whole new engine in , and beings the r's up to breaking the new parts , and his buds yells 'bring the r's down ' . now he finds out the factory tach is off big time . he would take this car for 6500 on the factory tach , high gear runs , with 3.23 n drum brakes , which was really 8000 rpm , so at 6500 it would been @ 160 , at 8000 , wow ! i parked it after driving it awhile , its been at 8000 . and never runs out of pull . i never pulled high gear to the top , but in third , it was 120 mph and nose up and pulling hard .

heh, Nicks Garage, wonder if he got anything for plugging Petro-Canada?
How many times he say that?

Should of put a NOS exhaust on it.
