Only in Wisconsin....

The problem with that is parents buy these things for the kids as toys. Next thing you know you’ve got 12yr old kids driving them out on the roads.

It's not there yet. Maybe on a street in front of their house, but not riding through town. They haven't been much of an issue, no accidents or anything like that.

This is so true! My wife hails from Milwaukee and the first time I went there I was introduced to so many of the items on this list. That town also has one of, if not THE, highest bars per capita in the country. They kept referring to people from Illinois as "FIB's"-effin Illinois Bastards. The first thing my future father-in-law showed me as I walked into his house was how to make a "proper" martini. Coincidentally after which, he took me to an AMAZING steakhouse called Eddie Martini's for one of the best cuts of a porterhouse I've ever had. We got shnookered...I married his daughter.

I heard a statistic some years ago, Milwaukee has the highest percentage of drinkers per capita, but also have the lowest rate of cirrhosis of the liver.

Milwaukee is a great city. I was born and raised there.

Just stay away from the North side.......

Although we hang out plenty in Milwaukee, we also stick to "The Village" in Wauwatosa, some good bars there, Leff's, Cafe Hollander, etc. As far as brews goes there, love me some New Glarus, Spotted Cow, Lakefront Brewery Riverwest Stein, really just about anything as long as it's cold and wet as my old man says.

It truly is a great city. Outside of New Orleans, it's the only place I could get a drink "to go" and that was because I was boarding a shuttle to a Brewer's game. I brought a buddy of mine who went from the east coast to California the first couple of times I visited and he was giving full thought to owning a time share there because he liked it so much.

I continue to spread the good word that is Milwaukee to the masses. I should work for their chamber of commerce.

I'm actually from the Riverwest section of Milwaukee. My family has been there since 1880. My grandfather was born in a house of Brady St. In 1902. My great grandfather emigrated from Frankfurt Germany in 1880 and was a brewmaster in Milwaukee for almost 40 years.

Holy smokes! That's quite the lineage right there, hot damn. My wife and I had our wedding ceremony at the Pabst Mansion and shuttled everyone over to the Pabst Brewery for our reception. It was awesome, didn't have to spend a dime on decor because the brewery and mansion had so much already. Everyone just had to show up!

After being near the buildings in September, it gave me a much better feeling of how large a setup they had. We just touched on the brewery, but it is still on my list of things to see. Going back to Volo makes it easier to plan.. It's a super cool place, and those buildings have so much style and detail, you could spend hours just looking at the architecture. I basically got teased.

I've been contemplating stopping in Milwaukee on the way back from Volo, so I can give it the time it deserves. I realized when we were there, that it was a stop on the trip, a nice one! And the PBR I had tasted better than any I'd had before, it was good. There is just so much to see, and we only spent an hour or so in downtown. Still a great day, and I am so glad I went, it was a perfect last hurrah for the year.

The Harley Davidson Museum is a must see.

Milwaukee has an excellent natural history museum and a World Class Zoo.

Everything is within a few miles of each other. Most are minutes apart.

They also have the Worlds biggest music festival every year from the end of June through about the 20th of July right on the shore of Lake Michigan.

800 bands in 11 days.....
