Great clip. That back graphic is one of Chrysler’s masterpieces. I’ve seen it in real life and it’s awesome. Thanks !!!

One year only as 76 the Road Runner package moved over to the Volare. Car is famous for its optional “tunnel” decal. And yes you could still get a big block in them. 400 incher. Most came with 318 2 bbls however.

Mine is a Fury Sport, not a Road Runner. And a 77. These like so many 70’s cars

are underrated & very affordable. Mine is an original big block 400. It’s a lot of fun & not a lot of $$$

Well don't know about that. I think what threw me is the 1975 B body Fury designation.

I watch just about all of Lou's Mopar videos. This one is no acceptation. He featured my stepfathers 68 Sport Fury this past year in Carlisle, (someone posted it on here but don't remember who).

Well, being 11 yrs old at the time, I remember going to the Auto Show in Cobo Hall - Detroit and seeing this car. I thought it was awesome (not knowing about HP and engines) All the chrome, the decals, the colors and the fabric on the seats. I could not understand why the auto community was not kind in their reviews. Thank you for posting this, if the opportunity came up, I would buy it (sorry C-guys)

Thanks for the link. A guy in town (whose father had some connections to an area Chrysler dealer) had one in medium blue. Looked GREAT. But when I noticed it had a 318, it became another "decal car" to me. Still, with the RIGHT options, even back then, it could have been a viable car, to me.

Wonder what the installation rate was for the 400HO and/or 4-speed manual trans? That would have been one RARE car!

To my knowledge the 4 speed was only offered on the 318 cars & it was the OD version. Not many 4 speeds were made. I can’t remembef the 400 numbers but it was a reasonable amount considering the times.

I think they should of kept the Road Runner on the B Fury platform.

I agree, how cool would it have been to have a 10 year anniversary Road Runner with a 440 Police Pursuit, all the cop car suspension and brakes ala the'79 300's, and pistol grip 4 speed!
Instead we got the Volare.....:BangHead:

A VERY nice car. Not sure if the, side/roof stripes are completely accurate (width and angle on the roof), OR the shiny black part on the hood, though.

Would have been nice for more B engines in those cars back then. Modern Iridium "forever" spark plugs would have made them nicer to own (issues with spark plug access), to me. Especially now that I tend to bruise easier!

But in an era when "performance was dead", never to return, the emphasis was on smaller engines and smaller cars. Now we have smaller cars and FOUR times the horsepower! With gazillion-speed automatics that mask the lower low-rpm torque issues very easily.

Thanks for the video link, lots of things that made me smile!
