Venting here... Trying to stop **** ATV riders speeding down our streets at all hours

Hell your out in the great wild west of Canukistan, can't you just shoot'em with your six-shooter like in the old days?

A southern Alberta man who shot at suspected thieves on his rural property is being sued by one of the people.

A statement of claim says Ryan Watson entered Edouard Maurice’s property near Okotoks, south of Calgary, on Feb. 25, 2018.

It says that when he and an accomplice were discovered, Maurice fired a warning shot that struck Watson’s arm.

“Without warning, the defendant attempted to scare the said plaintiff by shooting a .22 calibre rifle in his direction, but negligently hit the plaintiff in the right forearm, causing severe damages and disability,” reads the statement.

It says Watson required surgery, which included putting a metal plate in his arm, and that he has pain and discomfort in his shoulders, head, neck and back. He also suffers from severe fatigue, insomnia, anxiety and post-traumatic stress disorder, the document says.

The suit alleges Maurice was negligent for firing a gun without consideration for others in the area and for failing to exhaust reasonable and less violent options, including calling police or shouting a warning.

Watson is seeking damages for pain and suffering and for loss of income."

Welp I'don know about today but if his land was fenced off grazing pasture for cattle or horses ranchers back in the not so long ago days could shoot anyone on pasture land, rustlers ya'kno.

When I was in suburbia my neighours and I did not put up with any thieving or crack heads....biggest thing we did with them is to make sure they knew we were watching. I would regularly follow individuals of interest, but stay back a couple hundred feet....man did they get nervous and vocal....always "stop F'n following me!!" I would respond "I'm not we just happen to both be going in the same direction".

Also I would keep an old digital camera and would pop it off with flash even though I knew it wouldn't capture anything, but man they do not like knowing that you may have taken their picture. I know the argument about taking pics of the public without their consent....frick that argument! If it drove the cockroaches out of my area because of a little light, then all the better.

Cant do anything like that around here... thanks to Zimmerman.

I’d love to do this but I have no physical support from the police or neighbours if one of the riders decided to come back after me...
The police were out again today after 3 raced by but they are not patrolling the area watching for them
I am going to request another task force blitz for our area with officers on ATV’s chase them down by ambushing the riders in the bushes as they ride towards the officers

Everyone around here pretty much keeps their place.... Dickheads know they'll get shot if they don't! A gun in every house around here. Not because its a crappy town, just because we believe in our gun rights.
